Dark
is the night
The
full moon makes bright
To
wend our way to the ritual tonight
Breathe
deep the sounds of twilight's gloom
Drink
up the light of the wandering moon
Feel
the rustle as the leaves hurry by
Your
eyes feel the glory of fires that run high
Hail
Uller
The
Brilliant One
Bringer
of the Glory
of
the Northern Lights
Keeper
of Winters might
May
your hand be light
Upon
the world
Soon
to sleep
to
Earth we bow deep
Hail
to Gaia, our Mothers glory
Cold
the winds blow
the
leaves rustle low
Hail
to Aether, Lifes breath unfolds
Warm
we our souls
By
the fires light
Hail
to Vulcan
Keeper
of the forge of life
Sweet
the water flows
From
the rives so deep
Hail
to Enki
Who
brings life unto us all
The
shutters shift and moan
With
the winds dance of change
Ashs
blow from the hearth stones
Leafless
trees rattle like bones
Yet
we are safe within
Our
Mothers arms
The
land has given freely
The
bounty gives up its favor
blessed
be the life force its given
so
that we may know its savor
A Feasting
we go this windy night
Our
Families we do gather
By
Aurora borealis light
Laid
well is table with the harvest fare
Merry
is the heart in the pale moonlight
Soon
the frost King will arrive
We
prepare ourselves for his favor
Make
tight the house, bless well the door
To
keep well and safe while the world slumbers
To
each living thing our Great Mother
Give
a wisdom, to pass the winter night
To
sleep, to burrow, to hunt, to follow
All
to pass into springtime's light
Give
blessing that the wind howls at your door
That
ye have a door to rattle
Give
thanks for the chill of the stone floor
That
thou has a space to call home
Blessed
are thee, for such grace
And
on this day, we give thanks
That
we live to face another winters night
Blessings
we give, to those who have not
Blessings
on those who linger
In
the doorway of life and death
Blessings
to those who brave the cold night
To
keep others safe with their might
Blessings
on the land
That
it gave us such grace
Blessings
on the animals
That
gave their lives to sustain us
Blessings
on all things, that allow us
To
face yet another winters night
Blessed be
Soon
to sleep
to
Earth we bowed deep
Hail
to Gaia, our Mothers glory
Cold
the winds blew
the
leaves rustleed low
Hail
to Aether, Lifes breath unfolded
Warmed
we our souls
By
the fires light
Hail
to Vulcan
Keeper
of the forge of life
Sweet
the water flowed
From
the rivers so deep
Hail
to Enki
Who
brings life unto us all
