At one time in history
it was common place for Men to be Priests

Priests who often took on the Role
of the "Goddess" in all her aspects

 The Temple of Bali had Sacred Whores
... they were not women ... They were men ...
Men, who fully embraced the feminine aspects of the self

So, what does this have to do with the God ?

Balance .. balance between the Sexes and Ourselves
Balance For our Worship and in our Mundane lives
For both Genders

We who walk the Path must know balance, therefore
both gender attributes must be known to us
Not necessarily Sexually, that's just to make a point.

To the point, where such a distinction, becomes moot

Well,we have a problem on the Pagan ways
Or do we?

Even I, who know better, lean towards the Mother
but what of the Father and his ways ?

In the Current day, this neglect, is often due to the fact that the image of
God the Father we have been given, is not one we want to embrace
Right Enough

But let's look a little deeper and see if we can figure out
why, not only are women returning to the Goddess

But Men in record numbers...

Sign of the times ?

I Say yes ... it's a social swing that is long overdue

Women are reclaiming their womanhood,
long stripped from them, and the power that goes with it

Men are now learning to embrace the Feminine principal within themselves,
to bring Balance into their own lives

As has happened before in our history, during times when Patriarchy has gone too far,
to where the woman is nothing and the man is overburdened
with all the stresses and strains

This is not healthy, for any of us
and Religion plays a very large role in these events

Often dictating how people will live, think and in general relate to their world
The way of the Patriarch has been damaging to us

Look at our history and you can see the changes that took place
Hundreds of years ago, when wide spread Goddess worship,
that was along side the Worship of the Gods,
was suppressed, and only the Gods remained

With the Great Mother related
to the role of wife or consort, if she was mentioned at all

Now, this is the placement of the God,
if he's mentioned at all, on most Pagan Paths ...

While many decry this placement of the All Father
A Glance at any local newspaper, would tell them why this is the case

The image of the Father that has ruled for hundreds of years has been a stern, vengeful,
oppressive role, in the image of God and therefore, in men in general

This is starting to Change. As the Mother reaches out to whisper
in the ears of Men, all Over the world

In recent times I have spoken to many men who have heard this voice
and have sought guidance from me
As they literally do not know what to do 
with this call they feel, other than they must listen

There is resistance to this return
to the more "womanly ways"

Aggressive behavior,
in men and women is at an all time high

On the Political arena
there has been more loss of life in our Wars
in the last 100 years, than in all the time before it, combined

The Aggression and Oppression of the Patriarchal Ways
is having to give ground, back to the Mother

And it's not giving that ground Easily !

The path is bathed in blood and sorrow

But return it must for the sake of us all ... For the Goddess
is a Mother who builds ... who creates ... who Heals

The Way of the Mind ... which is the Fathers domain
is needed, make no mistake ... but the mind without compassion
Is tyranny

There have been many attempts at this change to the
Way of the Woman ,but these have been
the abortive births Predicted during the Age of Aon
The Re Birth of the Age of Man

Our World cannot withstand much more of the strain
of Use and abuse, without nurturing

Our lives will degenerate into misery and slavery,
without the compassion of the Mothers Ways

We must always remember however, that the God
is our Father too and give him his due,
but for now the Mother must reign

To Heal the Damage done in his Name,
which He did not ask for

I'm sure the All Father knows this ... and Understands
for the True Father IS compassionate

The True Father cares for his children
as any Good Father should
and Understands the Need to forgo him for a Time
Until such time as we can look back on his Face,
in the right way

This Way

 All hail the God , who is the Father of the mind,
So we may understand our world
 

"I, Who Am the Sun which warms the body of the Earth,
the Bounty that sustains your bodies,
the Lord of the Hunt, the Power of the Light,
and the Secret of the Flame of Life, call upon your bodies
to arise and come unto Me.

For I am the generosity of the Earth
and the flesh of all of its inhabitants.
In Me all things must die,
and, with Me all will be reborn.

Let My worship be in the mind that meditates,
for all acts of thought and energy are My rituals.

Let there be Magnificence and Mastery,
Capability and Tenderness
Glory and Humbleness, Merriment
and Wonder within you.

For these, too, are part of the Mysteries
found within yourself.

In truly knowing Me, you must recognize
that in Me all beginnings end,
and all endings begin again."

You See ... only two parts of that ...have been used
for many many years which is Mastery and the Hunt

The Drive is there,
but it lacks the balance of Tenderness, Humbleness,
Capability, Merriment and the sense of Wonder

These are the Real Fathers Gifts , buried under mountains of Striving and Strife ,
by the attempt to "Master" the world and all it contains

So the Mother must step forward again
and re-train her children to the ways of She,
who is the Most compassionate of all beings

"I who am the beauty of the green Earth
and the white moon among the stars
and the mysteries of the waters,
I call upon your soul to arise
and come unto me.

For I am the soul of nature
that gives life to the universe.
From Me all things proceed
and unto Me they must return.

My worship be in the heart that rejoices, for behold --
all acts of love and pleasure are My rituals.
Let there be Beauty and Strength,
Power and Compassion,
Honor and Humility,
Mirth and Reverence within you.

And you who seek to know Me,
know that your seeking
and yearning will avail you naught,

Unless you know the Mystery:

For if that which you seek,
you find not within yourself,
you will never find it without.

For behold, I have been with
you from the Beginning,
and I am that which is attained
at the End of desire

The End of desire, The end of the Patriarchal drive to Own,
to control everything other than itself when there is no More,
desiring, but simply being

There you will find the Mothers face
Once we have truly re discovered her
and Healed the Hurts of the Earth and it's people

Then perhaps, we can Really reclaim the God as well
I am sure He will wait for us :)
